Lawrence Solar Project Details
First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, Kansas partnered with Good Energy Solutions to reduce operating expenses and lower its environmental impact through a commercial solar energy installation. Our team designed and installed a grid-tied solar power system featuring 168 high-performance solar panels mounted on the church’s south-facing roof.
The solar array was engineered to maximize energy production throughout the year while helping the church offset a significant portion of its electricity consumption. By generating clean, renewable energy on-site, First Presbyterian Church will benefit from decades of predictable energy savings while reducing its carbon footprint.
High-Performance Solar Panels Built for Long-Term Reliability
The solar modules selected for this project are backed by a 30-year performance warranty and are guaranteed to retain at least 84.95% of their original power output after 30 years of operation. This industry-leading performance helps ensure dependable energy production and long-term value for the church.
Installed According to Industry Best Practices
The system was designed and installed by Good Energy Solutions’ NABCEP-certified solar professionals and follows all applicable National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. Adhering to these standards helps ensure the safety, reliability, and long-term performance of the solar installation.
Why Churches and Nonprofits Are Investing in Solar Energy
Churches, schools, and nonprofit organizations across Kansas are increasingly turning to solar energy to reduce rising utility costs. Every dollar saved on electricity can be redirected toward programs, services, facilities, and community outreach efforts that support their mission.
Solar power provides nonprofits with a unique opportunity to stabilize operating expenses while demonstrating environmental stewardship and leadership within their communities.
A South-Facing Solar Array Optimized for Energy Production
All 168 solar panels were installed on the church’s roof to capture maximum sunlight throughout the day. This optimal orientation will help generate consistent solar energy production and maximize the system’s long-term performance.
This Lawrence solar installation will provide clean, renewable electricity for decades, helping First Presbyterian Church reduce energy costs while supporting a more sustainable future.
