The KC Current and CPKC Stadium Go Solar with Good Energy Solutions | Kansas City, Missouri
The Kansas City Current partnered with Good Energy Solutions to promote sustainability and install new solar panels at the team’s new home, CPKC Stadium. This partnership sets The Current up as one of the leaders of solar adoption for sports stadiums in North America. The KC Current and Good Energy Solutions have chosen to use REC solar modules for this installation.
Matthew’s Solar Story | Residential Solar Installation | Lawrence, Kansas
When Matthew Torrey first started thinking about getting solar for his new home, one of his main concerns had to do with the power grid. If his neighborhood was to lose power in an emergency, he wanted to make sure he had enough energy to keep the lights on. We worked with him to design and install this solar system with 26 360 W high-performance modules along with a Tesla Powerwall.
Doug’s Solar Story | Commercial Solar Installation | Tonganoxie, Kansas
It can take a lot of electricity to run a farm. When Porter Valley Hops wanted to reduce their monthly electricity bill, they turned to Good Energy Solutions to design and install a solar panel system. The solar installation was placed on the roof of the utility building that houses the machines the Porters use to process their hops. The system also helps power their home.
Chris’s Solar Story | Residential Solar Installation | Kansas City, Missouri
Chris and his wife Cathy wanted to incorporate solar panels with their home to help the environment and to save money every month on their utility bill. They chose Good Energy Solutions to install SunPower panels on their roof in Kansas City, Missouri. According to Chris, their solar installation generates roughly 87% of the power that they consume.
Tim’s Solar Story | Residential Solar Installation | Lee’s Summit, Missouri
Tim has had nothing but positive things to say about Good Energy Solutions since he had SunPower solar panels installed on his home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. His house currently utilizes 27 SunPower 335W high performance modules. His solar system not only partially offsets his monthly electric bill, but also powers his family’s electric vehicle.
ES Lighting’s Solar Story | Commercial Solar Installation | Lawrence, Kansas
Grant Lechtenberg has routinely seen savings of between $600 and $700 a month for his business since installing solar panels in 2018. His lighting company experienced an immediate payback on its investment once Good Energy Solutions installed its solar panel array. Federal tax credits also helped make the SunPower solar installation make financial sense on his bottom line.

Dr. Bradley’s electricity bills usually run between $800 and $900 a month in the summer months. In an effort to save his veterinarian business some money and to reduce his carbon footprint, he contracted Good Energy Solutions to install a SunPower solar panel system on his building. With his solar panels, he now expects to offset his electricity bills by at least 75 percent every year.
The Topeka Zoo’s Solar Story | Commercial Solar Installation | Topeka, Kansas
The Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center has always been focused on wildlife conservation and education. Naturally, the zoo’s focus on conservation has included hands-on efforts by employees as well as support for other animal friendly organizations around country and globe. However, conservation efforts by the zoo do not stop at direct aid to animals. The Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center actively tries to reduce their carbon footprint though efficiency upgrades in their facilities via the “Green Practices” program.
The “Green Practices” program has been responsible for a variety of upgrades to the facilities including installation of hand dryers in the restrooms to reduce paper waste and the addition of recycling stations around the zoo to reduce the amount of waste sent to local landfills. Good Energy Solutions partnered with the Topeka Zoo to install two sets of solar panels that help offset the non-profit’s electric usage and saves money every month on their utility bills.
Vinland Valley Nursery’s Solar Story | Commercial Solar Installation | Baldwin City, Kansas
Amy and Doug wanted to install solar panels to help power their nursery. Good Energy Solutions installed 27 SunPower solar panels on a ground mount. Their system now supplies between 80 and 85% of their monthly electricity, essentially paying for itself.
Just Food’s Solar Story | Commercial Solar Installation | Lawrence, Kansas
Funded by an anonymous donor, Good Energy Solutions installed solar panels on the roof of Just Food in Lawrence, Kansas. This solar array helps the non-profit food bank to lower their operational costs, continue their work to provide nutritional support to Douglas County residents and lessen their footprint on the environment.
Sue’s Solar Story | Residential Solar Installation | Lawrence, Kansas
Sue wanted to incorporate solar with her home to help the environment and to save money every month on her utility bill. After three years of research, she chose Good Energy Solutions to install SunPower panels on her roof in Lawrence, Kansas. She expects to save around $100 a month just on electricity costs alone. We outfitted Sue’s home with 14 360W solar panels, installed with a 25-year manufacturer warranty and a lifetime workmanship warranty.

Lindsey wanted to make a positive change to their carbon footprint and save money on their monthly electricity bills by having Good Energy Solutions design and install 10 REC solar panels on the roof of their Lawrence home.
The Willow Domestic Violence Center | Solar Giveaway 2023 | Lawrence, Kansas
As part of Good Energy Solutions’ solar giveaway program for nonprofits in our community, we gifted a solar installation to The Willow Domestic Violence Center in Lawrence, Kansas. The 4.8 kW solar panel system now offsets a portion of their electric bill every month, allowing them to divert those savings to their core mission of building safer communities through shelter, services, and support to survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
