It can take a lot of electricity to run a farm. When Porter Valley Hops wanted to reduce their monthly electricity bill, they turned to Good Energy Solutions to design and install a solar panel system. The solar installation was placed on the roof of the utility building that houses the machines the Porters use to process their hops. The solar panel system also helps power their Tonganoxie home.

We installed 30 327 W high-performance solar panels on the south-facing side of the roof.  This design will take in as much sun as possible, making the system highly efficient. These panels are resilient against snow, wind, hail and fire.

Seeing the reduction on our electric bill… that’s probably been the best part about it. And it’s clean energy, so as long as the sun is shining, we’re doing okay.

The solar panels used for this project carry a 25-year product & labor warranty. This system was designed and installed according to NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) best practices and NEC compliance.
