Kansas City Solar Project Details
The owners of this commercial building houses Alpha Graphics in downtown Kansas City wanted to save money and reduce their carbon footprint with a solar power installation. We worked with them to design a grid-tied solar panel system using 65 REC solar modules.
The REC solar panels installed for this project come with a 25-year linear power output warranty, featuring a guaranteed annual degradation rate of only 0.25%. This means the REC N-Peak panels will still produce at least 92% of their nameplate power in the 25th year of operation. The system was designed and installed according to NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) best practices and is fully compliant with NEC standards.
We project that Alpha Graphics will save nearly $8,000 a year with this solar installation, with an expect break even period of 6 years. After 20 years, the owners can expect a cumulative electricity savings of nearly $220,000
