Lawrence Solar Project Details
SOLAR SOLUTION
The solar system consists of 5 solar modules, 1 Sol-Ark inverter and 4 Kilovault batteries. This equipment allows students and faculty to use their plugged-in electronic equipment (laptops, tablets, and phones, etc.) along with providing power to light the space.
- The Sol-Ark inverter receives the power that is produced by the solar modules and is used to charge the batteries and power the loads
- The main battery disconnect will disconnect the battery power source and shut down the system if required – this is the main means of safety disconnect
- The electrical loads panel houses the breakers that are connected to the circuits throughout the outdoor classroom
- Both batteries are placed at the bottom of the electrical cabinet
