Job description
Good Energy Solutions is seeking a motivated, consultative, and relationship-driven Solar Consultant to help homeowners and businesses transition to clean, cost-effective energy solutions. This role is responsible for educating prospective clients on solar energy, battery storage, EV charging, and energy-saving solutions while guiding them through the sales and project development process.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can simplify complex energy concepts, build trust quickly, and confidently manage a sales pipeline from initial inquiry through signed agreement. This is not a high-pressure sales role. Success in this position comes from education, professionalism, responsiveness, and the ability to provide tailored energy solutions that genuinely improve the customer’s long-term financial outlook.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations with residential and commercial clients regarding solar energy systems and related energy solutions
- Educate customers on utility savings, energy independence, system performance, financing options, and return on investment
- Develop and present customized solar proposals based on customer goals and site conditions
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients throughout the sales cycle
- Generate new business through company-provided leads, referrals, networking, community engagement, and self-generated opportunities
- Maintain accurate records and sales activity within CRM software
- Coordinate with internal design, operations, and project management teams to ensure a smooth customer experience
- Stay informed on solar industry trends, utility programs, financing products, and local regulations
- Represent the company professionally at trade shows, events, and community outreach opportunities
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience preferred, especially in solar, construction, home services, energy, roofing, HVAC, electrical, or related industries
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and customer-friendly way
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team
- Proficiency with CRM systems, email, and basic office software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Journeyman Electrician
Job description
We are growing fast, and we are looking to bring on motivated and talented people. If you are interested in working in the electrical field, whatever your level of experience, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and take appropriate measures to fix the problem
- Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Complete and maintain paperwork, including work orders, to catalog work done on site
- Train and mentor apprentices on the crew as needed
- Other tasks as dictated by the VP of Electrical
Qualifications:
- Journeyman’s License is a plus
- Previous experience in electrical field a plus
- Some trade schooling in the electrical field
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Electrician Apprentice
Job description
The Electrical Apprentice is responsible for assisting Master and Journeyman Electricians complete work in the field. This position will assist with the installation of wiring, raceways, conduit, lighting, and other electrical components. This position will also assist in procuring necessary job materials and ensuring a high level of organization in the shop, on job sites, and in company vehicles. Working beside experienced tradesmen, this individual will gain valuable real world experience in the electrical field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist coworkers to complete assigned tasks on job sites.
- Disassemble defective electrical equipment and make necessary repairs
- Measure, bend, and cut wire and conduit using hand tools.
- Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
- Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions in which work can safely be performed on roofs, in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and fields.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting as needed during installation of electrical equipment.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
