With the federal government offering a 30% tax credit for residential and commercial solar projects, the demand for clean renewable energy has dramatically risen in Kansas and Missouri. Good Energy Solutions was recently recognized for its increased effort to expand the adoption of solar in the United States by taking a top spot on the 2024 Top Solar Contractors List, released today by Solar Power World.

The Top Solar Contractors List is developed each year by industry magazine Solar Power World to honor the work of solar installers in the United States. Solar firms in the utility, commercial and residential markets are ranked by the number of kilowatts they installed in the previous year. Companies are grouped and listed by specific services, markets and states. Good Energy Solutions is ranked at No. 285 in the nation.

The United States installed more solar in 2023 than ever before — 32.4 GW total and 51% more than the previous year. The Top 5 solar contractors each installed more than 2 GW in 2023, while some exceeded 3 GW.

In 2023, Good Energy Solutions completed several large solar projects in Kansas and Missouri, including a 480 kW installation for Ionos, Inc in Lenexa, a 306 kW installation for Hills Pet Nutrition, Inc in Topeka, a 121.5 kW installation for ExxonMobil’s Regional Distribution Center in Kansas City and a 98.9 kW installation for Bold 3PL in Hutchinson.
